name's katie. i am a lesbian. i don't feel the need to be secretive about it, the more people know everyone isn't the same, the more likely they'll accept it. i live in a small community, everyone knows everyone and im so ready to not know anything about anyone and more about myself. i have a constant yearning for change, in any form really. friendships, relationships, living situations.  i also want to change people's lives. i want to be source of fufillment and joy for people. all through art and words. i want to be a catalyst for change. i long to and inspire people to be enveloped in their lives constructively and peacefully.

i think a lot about the future and dwell on it. it gives me a sense of purpose. a sense of uniqueness. i struggle to stay afloat when i think things could be different. i guess patience is not one of my strongest assets.

i love the idea that someday i will be able to live and breath my self expression. i currently feel resticted and bland. i find solace in using my walls and body as a palet for all the colors i'm feeling.  and hopefully someday my passion will rub off and inspire some people along the way. the most inspirational people in my life have been my mom (although sometimes i wonder whos actuall doing the mothering) and ani difranco. i at first wanted to be like ani and now i see her as a friend, companion, and even doctor. she's always got a remedy.
